On Air with Anisa Topan
I’m a broadcaster and cultural commentator exploring ambition, identity and the stories we tell about success.
After appearing on The Apprentice (BBC One, 2017) exiting in the show’s iconic triple firing(!) in Week 8, I moved from reality TV subject to cultural analyst. Having experienced the machine firsthand, I now unpack it from the outside.
I regularly provide commentary for BBC Surrey, most recently covering The Celebrity Traitors, civilian The Traitors series, and delivering weekly The Apprentice analysis through April 2026. I also step in for seasonal “Telly Picks” segments when the resident TV critic is on leave.
I host a weekly live show on Hoxton Radio every Wednesday from 2-4pm which explores contemporary culture through the lens of fashion, aesthetics, wellness and pop commentary.
It’s a live, responsive space: reacting to the cultural moment while keeping the conversation intelligent and human. Expect insight, humour and the occasional uncomfortable truth. Alongside studio work, I conduct vox pops and on-location interviews across fashion, art and cultural spaces where I translate atmosphere into narrative.
Before broadcasting, I founded and ran a London-based fashion PR agency, building it from freelance venture to multi-client consultancy generating six-figure revenues. That experience sharpened my understanding of branding, optics and narrative control. On mic and on camera, I combine that strategic lens with warmth and curiosity.
